B2B is a channel to increase sales considerably. We are aware of this but we lack the action to execute accordingly. And the problem is that execution is everything.
We have started, more or less spontaneously, to contact companies to offer them our brand’s products. So far the feedback has been modest until recently when we received the first order.
Beginner mistakes
As always, we like to make all the possible mistakes that you can make as a beginner in B2B sales. I am not an expert in this field but for me these have been.
Not requiring a minimum order of 300 euros.
Not setting a minimum to have free shipping but simply including it without further ado.
Not immediately putting a follow-up task for the second order.
Not having an invoicing process that includes having an invoice template without design.
Not focusing on Spanish sellers at the beginning.
It is clear that we also lack a whatsapp data certain aggressiveness in sales. You have to have the desire to be commercial, which we clearly lack.
There were also successes
Not everything was bad. We also had successes.
Starting to contact without perfecting the fourth important date the entire process down to the smallest detail.
Making use of lists of competitors’ sellers (although this came a little later after starting with random messages on social networks).
Having a catalogue with B2B prices according to units ordered.
What is clearly missing is an execution plan. Here are some questions that we have to answer and set.
What monthly B2B billing objectives do we set
What sales funnel must be implemented for this?
Who is responsible for B2B in the team?
What are the resources that we are going to invest for B2B sales?
Do we have to adapt the purchase of stock to serve B2B?
This is surely just the tip of the iceberg of things to take into account. But hey, the important thing is to move and adapt on the fly. With movement comes changes and if everything goes well, so do results.
This year there will even be two trips by vietnam data the two most experienced people on the team to Germany. They will give me a hand in Germany to organize everything here because I do not have the support or the capacity right now to get it done without help.
The hybrid model is not for everyone. Nor will it be for me forever. I will probably have to hold on for a couple more years because for now it is worth it.
